May 2005: New Grass Jeep being fitted with a poly tank and electric pumps. Soon to be in service and designated as 4066, to replace 4062.

May 16, 2005: Munson Fire Department members elect new Board of Trustees. Congratulations to Jon Farley (President), Mike Zivcic (Vice President), and Giovanni DeNigris (Secretary/Treasurer) on their elections.

March 1, 2005: Kelly Misterka gets promoted to rank of Captain/Training coordinator. Congratulations Kelly.

January 1, 2005: Captain Mark S. Lynn is now assuming the rank of Assistant Chief.

August 2004: The Munson Fire Department hosts the Smythe Cramer Childrens' Day in conjunction with the Child Safety Seat checkpoint. During the even children's pictures, finger prints, and other pertinent information were taken to add to a database to track and identify children in the unfortunate event of a child being reporting missing. This information is for rapid dissemination to local authorities and rescue personnel.

July 2004: New turn out gear put into service.

June 2004: New water/ice rescue team goes into service and puts new equipment in service.

May 2004: The Munson Fire Department becomes accredited as an American Heart Association training center.

May 1, 2004: The Munson Fire Department hires 6 additional full time suppression personnel from within the part time ranks. Congratulations to Firefighters Michael Bennett, Shawn Cziryak, Giovanni DeNigris, Jon Farley, Matt Hartman, and William Rivera. 2 part time firefighters were also hired to assist with supplementing manning during off days for full timers. Congratulations to Firefighters Joe DiCorpo and Brian Swetel on their promotion.

March 2004: 1st annual Kent State Fire/EMS symposium is held with the efforts of 2 members of the Munson Fire Department who founded the advisory board.
